As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Ohio, Portage Path meets enhanced federal standards for access, crisis services, and comprehensive behavioral health care.

With outpatient centers in Akron, Barberton, and Cuyahoga Falls and a Psychiatric Emergency Services facility in Akron, we connect residents across Summit County with vital mental health services and resources.

Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services

Portage Path Behavioral Health provides a full continuum of care for mental health and substance use treatment. From crisis services to outpatient therapy and specialty programs, we guide adults on the path to recovery through accessible, compassionate care.

Crisis Care

Portage Path Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) provides 24/7 crisis evaluation and stabilization using best practices in psychiatric care. Located at the ADM Crisis Center in Akron, PES helps individuals return safely to the community with referrals and ongoing care coordination.

Outpatient Services

Outpatient services at Portage Path Behavioral Health improve quality of life by helping those struggling with mental health and substance use. Services include psychiatry, individual therapy, case management, medication clinic support, treatment groups, telehealth, and dual diagnosis care.

Mobile Therapy Services

Portage Path’s Mobile Therapy Center is a 35-foot RV designed to bring mental health screenings into the community. Available for businesses, events, and places of worship, it helps reach individuals facing access barriers, stigma, or language challenges—free of charge.

Psychiatry

Our skilled team of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners can assist with reducing symptoms that interfere with daily activities and functioning through the use of medications. Medical team members customize their approach to meet each client’s needs with a focus on mood stability to restore everyday functioning.
